Aurora, from the series The Majesty in Becoming, embodies the rare radiance of inner strength revealed in moments of truth. This painting is a fierce visual invocation of the Lion of Judah and later Christ—not just as a biblical symbol, but as a living force that roars quietly within the human soul. Drawn from ancient prophecy and spiritual legacy, this lion does not reside on a throne or in mythology—it resides within us.

Genesis 49:9–10 (KJV):

“Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion… The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come…”

This prophecy by Jacob declares Judah a lion, prophesying a line of kings culminating in the Messiah, who later returns through Christ - 

Revelation 5:5 (KJV):

“Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof”, where Christ is seen as the Lion of Judah—powerful, victorious, and worthy.

The aurora borealis, ethereal and untouchable, becomes a metaphor for this hidden inner strength: not always visible, but undeniable in moments of truth. The Lion within us is awakened in silence, in resistance, in compassion, and in the refusal to be diminished. Its strength is not loud—it is righteous, royal, grand, and real. 

This original artwork draws upon the timeless symbol of the Lion of Judah, is a reclaiming of identity, spiritual sovereignty, and divine inheritance. It challenges the viewer to remember that the power to prevail does not lie outside—but burns in the marrow of those who dare to walk with truth, justice, and grace.
