Stewarding the Inquiry

Spring in Winter was founded as a space where art, inquiry, and public reflection come together. The gallery is guided by a shared commitment to exploring the human experiences and larger social forces that shape contemporary life.

Devi Aatmaan is the Founder and Creative Director of Spring in Winter Gallery. Trained as a sociologist with doctoral and postdoctoral research experience, her work explores how art can function as a form of structural inquiry into the social, cultural, historical, political, and economic forces that shape human life. Drawing on years of research, teaching, and engagement across diverse artistic and social contexts, she established Spring in Winter as a platform for examining shared human conditions through contemporary artistic practice.
