Upon this board of ivory and sable hue,

Where stratagems and fates do oft entwine,

There blooms a tale, where love's eternal view

Doth dance 'twixt regal pieces, so divine.

The Black King, cloaked in midnight's somber grace,

Beheld the White Queen, fair and fierce of mien,

Whose gliding steps in realms of light did trace

A path where hearts, unspoken, lay unseen.

In silent war they met, with fervor’s kiss,

Where each advance and parry was a sigh,

And every move did craft a furtive bliss,

Though rules did bind their hearts and bids did fly.

When checkmate's shadow fell upon the board,

And victory’s gleam in white did boldly shine,

The Black King bowed, his soul a silent chord,

His gaze did seek the queen’s, as stars align.

“Though fate decrees this game shall end and part,”

He whispered soft, with eyes both dark and deep,

“My heart, though lost, is filled with fervent art,

In love’s own name, these vows I vow and keep.”

The White Queen’s countenance, though proud and bright,

Revealed a tenderness beneath her might,

“Thou art my muse, though I am victress here,

In every move, I felt thy presence near.”

Their words did waltz 'neath ancient moon's embrace,

A sonnet penned in silence, time’s own grace,

For though the game was won, and board put by,

Their passion soared beyond the night’s dark sky.

Thus in the quiet after victory’s claim,

Their love, unquenched, did evermore remain,

A tale of heart where chess and ardor frame,

Their spirits joined in love’s eternal chain.

One will never know which team won the game.

This is another masterpiece by artist Joy. Within the vast expanse of the chessboard, where black and white squares are a battlefield of strategic calculations and intellectual prowess, there resides a love that transcends the inflexible limits of the game. This acrylic painting depicts an extraordinary game of chess; it is a narrative of illicit romance between the Black King and the White Queen, whose hearts pulsate not just for the excitement of the game, but also for one another.

The artist uses a bold red colour radiating the essence of passionate love, enveloping the royal game pieces in an intense and fervent embrace. This deep, rich red serves as the backdrop, symbolizing the burning desire and emotional intensity that binds them together. The red is not just a color but a representation of their unspoken, powerful connection, one that transcends the ordinary and enters the realm of a profound, all-encompassing love. The artist’s use of wide, sweeping strokes conveys the energy and passion between the two figures, their love as dynamic and intense as the game they represent. The texture created by the brushwork suggests movement, as if the emotions between the king and queen are so powerful that they ripple through the very fabric of the painting. This is a vintage collection portraying the ruptured emotions that they have borne for each other in their hearts for ages.

The knife work, on the other hand, introduces sharpness and definition, particularly in the features of the royal couple. The precise, angular lines carved by the knife seem to cut through the emotional intensity, adding a layer of strategy and intellect to the passion depicted. This mirrors the calculated moves in a chess game, where the black king and white queen stand as opponents on a chessboard, yet here, they are also depicted as lovers. The interplay of the knife’s sharp, decisive strokes against the softer, more fluid brushwork symbolizes the dual nature of their relationship—both as adversaries in a game of strategy and as lovers bound by a deep, passionate connection. This painting captures the moment when the white queen, as powerful as she is, defeats the black king in the chess field but submits herself to him, knowing that he gracefully accepts his defeat by a powerful “queen”. A king who adores a queen for her power is a real king!

The artist does not see this painting as a decorative item, but rather as an incandescent for sparking meaningful conversations. A picture of this caliber should evoke a deep emotional response from art enthusiasts and collectors.

paper) depending on the artwork. All prints come with UV protection coating and

We mostly use the Hahnemüle German Etching fine art paper. This heavyweight paper has a slightly warm base tone and a strong mottled texture. It creates a print with strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast. This is due to the
texture of the paper enabling it to hold more ink and capture the light. The German Etching is one of our heavier weight Giclée art printing papers. With its weight and strong texture this paper gives an artwork a handmade crafted feel. Hahnemüle German Etching is a robust Giclée paper, meaning it doesn’t tend to fray as much at the edges.

Certificate of Authenticity:

To further guarantee the authenticity and value of each piece, every giclée print comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. This certificate not only verifies the origin and quality of the print but also includes essential details about the artwork, such as the title, edition number, and the artist's signature. With this certificate, collectors can be confident in the provenance of their giclée print, adding an extra layer of prestige and assurance to their investment. Incorporating both the
